    2 As of pvfs release 2.6.0, the name of the package has been changed from
    3 'pvfs2' to 'pvfs' (removed the '2').  The release version now carries the
    4 '2', and the major and minor version numbers remain semantically the same
    5 as before.  The sequence of releases looks like this:
